We all know that branding is important for small businesses. As a matter of fact, many people agonize over branding when they first start their business.
I need a logo, the perfect color sceme and eye catching fonts!
Sound familiar? This was SO me 4 years ago!
But another often overlooked key to branding is you as your brand.
Nothing sells more than showing up for your audience.
This is where brand photography comes in. These pictures can showcase you, your business and your products (if you have a product based business).
It also helps those dream clients see you and fall in love with you.
Don’t get me wrong it can definitely be an investment but – DO IT!
It will be a game changer for your business and the ROI will be worth it.
Research a photographer that specializes in branding. This is important because they know their stuff. They will have suggestions of locations, props and ways to make your amazing business really shine and showcase your personality.
Create a Pinterest board with photography and poses you like. This is a great reference tool for you and your photographer. If there are specific shots you need like a headshot or celebration shot make sure to create a list to give to your photographer prior to your shoot so when you get there you don’t need to worry about it. They can also use those reference documents to get to know you and your likes/dislikes.
There are so many ways to use brand photography, below are just a couple of the big ones where your investment really pays off:
Website
Social Media
Facebook Groups
Email Marketing
Freebies
Courses
Workbooks
Ads
Lastly, have fun!
I know it can be awkward especially if you are not an in front-of-the-camera type person but your photographer should make you feel comfortable and confident so you can enjoy the experience.
