When it comes to marketing your business on social media quantity isn’t as important as quality.
Are you speaking to your ideal client?
Are you engaging with your followers?
Are you keeping up with the trends and creating trending content?
We can’t throw spaghetti at the wall and expect it to stick here.
There are methods to the madness on how to create content that will help you gain visibility while also leading your followers and future prospects to take action, whether that be liking, following, or commenting on your post.
Creating content that resonates with your audience and follows the platform algorithm is the key to engagement!
Let’s take a look at Instagram.
1. Video
It’s no secret that Instagram has moved to a video sharing platform but that’s not to say that images are not getting any engagement. Have you noticed as you scroll your feed that nothing but videos are visible? The algorithm is pushing Reels specifically so Reels are being prioritized. If you haven’t yet jumped on the reels train, do it and do it now.
2. Behind-the-Scenes
Your future prospects love to see all areas of your business. Not only how you can help them achieve greatness but what it takes for you to run your business. That may include creating digital products, a look at your workspace, your to-do list for the day, and your everyday life. Behind the scenes posts are a great way to keep your audience interested.
3. Engagement Posts
Engagement posts are meant to do exactly that to promote engagement!
“Leave a comment below.”
“Follow the link in the bio.”
“Save this post for later.”
Always including a call to action on your posts will tell your audience exactly what step to take next and therefore boosts your engagement rate.
4. Stories
Instagram stories are another form of video content and are also highly engaging. Take advantage of all the features the platform provides and the algorithm will reward you for it. When creating stories attach a sticker, make a poll, use hashtags, and tag your location. This will enhance your engagement and make it fun for your followers to interact with.
5. Photos of You
If you haven’t already noticed, the photos of you on your feed are getting more attention than static graphics. Your audience loves to see the face behind the brand! It’s more personable and is more likely to get more engagement.
Creating content for social media should be fun! If you are dreading creating your next piece of content, don’t post it. Take some time to yourself to get inspired. Scroll your feed to get some ideas, take these content ideas, and get creative.
Happy Content Creation!
