With warm weather and new beginnings, April is a great time to assess how business is going.
As the first quarter comes to a close, tracking achievements, reassessing goals, and decluttering processes can set the stage for a productive path forward!
I’ve put together a list of questions to ask yourself as a self-audit.
What went well in my business this quarter?
Taking time to reflect on what moved your business forward this quarter will help you with future decision making. Now you know what works! Keep going!
What didn’t go well in my business in this quarter?
Are your systems and processes not as thorough as they need to be? Do you need to create a more efficient workflow? Did you have an influx of business but not enough hands to get everything done? Your onboarding process could be more user-friendly?
What can you do to fix this?
Sitting down and coming up with steps on how you can improve these pieces of your business will help give you a refresh and a clean slate.
What am I working toward for the next quarter?
Whether it’s onboarding new clients or increasing signups for your email list, having clear goals keeps things exciting and on track. I’m a big fan of checking things off of a list so creating action plans to reach these goals helps me focus on one task at a time or else it just gets overwhelming.
Will you be taking time off of your business?
Many business owners slow down during the summer because kids are home. If you choose to lighten your workload during the summer months now is the time to start planning. Even if it means you will be working 1 less day it’s time to get organized and work ahead so you can do it with less stress.
What can you batch to help yourself work less?
One thing I like to do in advance when I know I will be taking days off for a schedule change or even a vacation is to batch my work.
This helps me to still accomplish what I need to without having to worry about it the day that it is due. I love to batch social media posts and videos, email newsletters, and blogs. These are simple tasks that can be planned and executed so that I can mentally rest the days I am gone.
Do you need assistance in creating an efficient workflow or putting together a launch plan during your business Spring cleaning?
